By their name alone, …And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead are often mistaken for a hard core death-metal band, perhaps with good reason. But death metal wasn’t on the menu when the guys set up to play an exclusive set in the Street Date studio last week.
Conrad, Jason and Kevin took time out from a week-long media blitz to play us a few tracks off new album The Century of Self. With only a keyboard and two acoustic guitars the guys laid down a stripped-bare set very different from what their ear-splitting live shows typically entail.
