Best known as the ‘voice’ of groups like Jurassic 5 and Ozomatli, a lot of people might not know that Chali 2na has been around for a minute. Not one to be pigeon-holed into any genre, he’s played with everyone from Linkin Park to David Byrne. Now it’s Chali’s turn for a solo effort, and the result is the outstanding Fish Outta Water.
The Mars Volta – Octahedron
Some are calling Octahedron a “quieter” album, and that may be true in parts. But as anyone who saw The Mars Volta at Bonnaroo can tell you, these guys don’t do quiet.
